I've never ordered from them, but Meyer Hatchery has quite reasonably priced BBWs. $3 each for 5-15, $2.75 for 16-25. They are at Meyer Hatchery.

Do you have any farm/feed stores around which order chicks, poults, and such in the spring? Generally you can get them cheaper that way than trying to order them yourself. If you contacted the store early enough, you could possibly get a special order in along with the store's order. Or you could try advertising in one of those Thrifty Ad or Nickel Ad papers. If anyone in your area has some turkeys, you'll likely get them cheaper than ordering. Do be careful who you buy from though so you don't introduce diseased birds onto your place.

I don't know about your area, but here the "wild" turkey population has exploded!! Have had 40-60 in the barnyard every day, and that's not many compared with some of the people around here. I'm hoping for an extended fall season on them this year. If it was up to me, I'd gladley give some away, but I think the game department wouldn't like that.
