Solar-powered lighting. Brand recommendations?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

I am interested in setting up a light outdoors to light up a very small area (single room) under construction. I may want it to aslo serve as a security light. Please let me know if you have any recommendations.

Also, let me know if you have one you may want to sell to me.

Thanks,

I purchased two "carriage lamp " style solar units at Wal-Mart for $23 apiece. I have been very satisfied with them.

Jay--do you think these could be modified to work with a timer and used in a chicken coop in the winter to extend daylight. I ask you because you are as crazy as I am. (compliment)

Asking for even more Jay....do you know of a light that operates by remote? Even a battery powered one?
