Whenever I connect my Canon GL1 DV camera (in Italy it's called XM1) with my PC through the Matrox RT2500 board via IEEE 1394 connection, Windows XP recognizes it as a new device and asks for the drivers.

Does anybody know how to solve the problem?

you have to install it as a DV camcorder (will be shown in Image Devices) using the msdv.sys driver.
