International duties

I think every one would agree that Solano has been brilliant over the last few months, and really has become a key player, with no one discussing whether he's good enough.

He hasn't be away on international duties for ages, could his improved club form be due to this ?

Possibly. My gut feeling is that it's better motivation - due to out promising position and perhaps YBR himself. He's enjoying his football.

And I thought this was going to be comment on Hughsie being excused duty next week due to it being a pointless game.

I think Solano's form is related in that he now has no pressure. Before Bobby and the Peru coach were on his and each other's backs to get him to either play or not play depending on point of view. Travel will also have taken it''s toll but I think now he has no real contact with the Peru coach Bobby will be happy and so nobody's complaining to him.

That's a very good point Jonboy - the issue just seems to have disappeared. Presumably, it was all a crock.
