Another One for Mitch

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Families : One Thread

Name me one half of a popular country duo who was enrolled in seminary to become a preacher. He left after being called in to the Dean's office and told that he would have to choose whether to preach or continue to play his guitar in the local honky-tonks on the weekend.

Someone else needs to step in here, I do not follow broadcast entertainment not the people involved.

That should read "nor" the people involved.

is that a current popular duo? or are we talking donnie and marie osmund here?

My guess would be either Larry Gatlin or Randy Travis. OF course, neither one was part of a duo.

Very current, very popular, one member is from Oklahoma, the other one's first name is the same as a breakfast cereal.

Kix is a breakfast cereal. And a little strange for a first name, if you ask me.

Kix Dunn from Brooks and Dunn

Right group, mixed up names. Kix is Brooks and Ronnie is Dunn. Ronnie Dunn studied at Abilene Christian University for a while, but opted for his music instead!
