It seems all that info is eaisly available thru "search" and all the magazines. So, please convince me "webmaster@survivalforum.com" isn't really "we want your name and address@your goverment.com" ? Although it really does not matter ---when a person decides enough is enough ---they will take a 10 to 1 body count ! To quote an old movie--" Can you suckers count "---- "we out number government 10,000 to 1 !!!

I've been to that place from a link at another site. I could see how uncle sam would keep tabs. There are some excellent editorials most of you would enjoy.

Good day. I see that someone knows how to do their research. I am a single individual who set up the site and yes that's me from the bio info no no included.

I did many community presentations regarding Y2K, Terrorism and Cyber Terrorist threats on our infrastructure (water, power, banking, etc.) back in 98 and 99.

www.survivalforum.com is a real site made and managed by a real person. (myself) Not the government. Listen folks:

The government does not need to set up a measly web site to track you and your beliefs! Everyone of you has a social security card, drivers license, credit report, job, etc...(including myself)

If you have digital cable, Comcast and MSNBC for example just acknowledged about a month ago that they have been collecting information and tracking viewers who have watched the digital cable for more than 7 hours to establish a psychological profile on the individual.

For example...every time you change the channel to skip commercials, what programs you are viewing and other habbits.

Your credit card companies have been managing databases for years tracking your purchases and developing profiles of buyers and SHARING the information with 3rd parties WITHOUT your consent.

I guess all I can say is the www.survivalforum.com Web site is the least of your concerns. If you dont feel comfortable visiting it, don't use it. The registeration process requires a NICKNAME and a VALID email address - That's IT! :)

You can use an ananomous YAHOO address for all I care. I just want to be able to email you and provide a means for users of the site to email you ANONOMOUSLY to PROTECT your privacy.

You should be more concerned visiting Sites like CNN.com and all the other sites you visit...We KNOW that they are in bed with intelligence agencies, don't we?

Well, thats my two sense.

Yahoo mail or any website email is not 100% anonymous unless you're using it from a different netcafe, library or some other public net access every time you log on. Your Yahoo, hotmail, etc, etc email can be traced back to you and sometimes is in investigations. Proxies aren't 100% anon either. Nothing really is, and even the closest thing to 100% anon is still leaving a trail.

Something to consider...

"They" all know who we are anyway.

I totally agree with comments that yahoo and hotmail are NOT private. That was not my point. My point was that the survivalforum site does not collect personal info.

I provide my time to businesses, consulting for business development, sales, marketing and Web design/marketing.

I have learned alot about the technical aspects of the internet over the past few years.

NOTHING IS PRIVATE/PERSONAL on the Internet. Period (including free email accounts)

Secure servers offer some protection for online purchases so long as they are not hacked and have good firewalls. HOWEVER, you are still at the mercy of the company/organization ADHERING TO THEIR OWN privacy policy.

ENCRYPTED EMAIL is another option for your emails not being read as they electronically travel over the Internet. However, the recipient has to have a way to unencrypt the messages.

Your hosting company / ISP has a lot to do with your "privacy" also.

Remember, your IP address can be logged at any and ALL sites you visit depending on who designed the site and the level of sophistication. With your IP address, you can be identified through your ISP (Internet Service Provider)

Survivalforum.com does not LOG ISP addresses of it's visitors.

The bottom line is this. If there are hackers that can hack into the tightest security computer systems (which there are many), then whatever you do over the Internet is theoretically NOT private.

Its OK, guys. I know Franklin from elsewhere. Hes the real deal. Franklin,
Are you looking for that article on the fuel cells? I still havnt found it but must admit that I forgot to ask these folks... Everyone,
A couple of years ago I remember reading an article in either Countryside or Backwoods Home on a company that would "within a couple of years" be offering home scale fuel cells. Its been "a couple of years" so theoretically the product should be out but now I cant remember who it was that was supposed to be offering them. Do any of you remember the article?
