IN MANY OCCATIONS I MEET PEOPLE SAYING I AM PRESIDENT, GEN MANAGER , EXECUTIVE MANAGER ,MANAGER , VICE PRISEDENT WORKING IN ACOMPANY ...WHAT IS THE DEFFERENCE IN DUTY .. RESPOSIBILITY ..LEVEL OF MNGMNT ...THANKS..

Stans correct. Every company uses job titles differently. Some are functional, like president or general manager; some CAN be just to impress, like a salesman with a vice-president title. You need to ask each individual what job responsibilities their title represents. That is if it is important to you.

Noora, They just titles, I work in the banking industry and what one company would call a JR manager, might be a VP here. The manager of a bank branch is the "President of the bank"

Differant companies use differant titles; however, the titles of President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasure means it is a corporation and they are officers of the corporation. Other titles such as manager, general manager, etc. are titles within the company to denote that person's status in the company and thier job duties would differ from company to company. The job duties are determined by the company. For instance, a general manager at one company would have a completely differant level of management, status, and responsibility at another company with the same job title.

Just a side note since I am sure you don't know...typing in caps is considered shouting and rude. Be sure to use lowercase. Also, since this is a homesteading site, in the future you might want to direct other than homesteading questions to another site so you don't get people's drawers in an uproar around here.

Titles not only vary from companies ,but within different divisions of the same company also. In our engineering section, I was a support technician, in production manufacturing section, I was doing exactly the same duties, yet was titled "technical support manager". Guess which looks better on my resume? The best story about titles I ever heard was on a business show. They interviewed a senior vice president, president or CEO (I can't remember his actual title, but it was way up there), anyway, he chose business cards that simply titled him as "corporate helper". :>)

A friend of mine who is between jobs in his regular line of work is now delivering pizzas. He told me the other day with a big laugh that he is going to start calling himself a "Catering Transportation Executive." For whatever it's worth, I've noticed that the heads of even small companies like to call themselves CEOs now---power trip? Who knows.
