My mother told me that when she was a child, the story was that a beautiful bird brought the Easter eggs, not the Easter bunny. her family were immigrants from Belgium. Does anyone know of that fable? also, does anyone have a similar story to tell about Easter.

the easters I spent with my grandfather,, we always had rabbit stew,, he used to say what a great thing that critter was,, bring you eggs for breakfast,, and stayed for supper
