Massage is going to be featured on national television next week, Thursday 28/3/02 at 10 pm ABC TV. This maybe of interest to your members. The ABC TV phone me Friday to let me know the docoumentry will show massage and physiotherapy as an intragal part of a sports/dance medical team of The Australian Ballet Company. Functional Fascial Taping is featured as a treatment plan within the organisation. Ron Alexander

I don't understand the ?

I came to this sight searching for info on ff taping. and or info on Kinesiotaping.

Looking for someone in NH who does this method of treatment for wrists Please respond asap.

This site said there was a show on ABC next week. But that date has gone by.

Rebecca - I think the initial message came from Ron Alexander who is the person doing this type of taping. The Association only passed on the message to its members.

Perhaps the ABC decided to show this at a later date or this particular segment just ended up on the cutting room floor. Either way, we did not get to see it!

Some of us were lucky enough to see it and provided you were passionate about ballet it was good value - While massage got a brief mention and about 90 seconds air time it was really documentary on all the physical challenges of professional dancing - the taping segment was equally brief and only served to point up the fact that Ron's techniques for mere mortals are slightly adapted so as not to interfere with the dancer's flexibility - In summary beaut for ballet, brief and boring for massage therapists kind regards - Joel Morrell
