Griffin a mackem?

The Journal this morning reckons Reidy is interested in signing Andy Griffin - apparently, he highly rates his "non-nonsense" style(!)

BR has recently said he doesn't want to lose Griffin, but The Journal reckons several Clubs, including Wolves, are monitoring his situation with a view to making approaches during the close season. They say he is valued at £2-3m - however, I would hope he would be valued at £5-6m to the mackems!

It would be madness to let Griff go, unless we had something better waiting in the wings. His 'no-nonsense' style would suit Reyd = he tackles hard, but has yet to develop any real attacking sense.

For a player with his injury record and 1st team appearances, I think £3m would be a good price.

3mil for a player whose sole good point was "not being Warren Barton" would be quite a coup. Hughes is the man, he needs an understudy.
