Exhibit Features Skinless, Dissected Humans

LONDON -- What's art without a little controversy?

"Body Worlds" -- an exhibit featuring skinless and dissected bodies -- opened over the weekend in London.

There was only one protest -- a man who called the display "horrifying" and "disrespectful" threw a blanket over the corpse of a pregnant woman. He said he couldn't bear to look at a seven-month-old fetus in the mother's womb.

The exhibition features 175 healthy and diseased body parts and 25 whole bodies.

Some 8 million people have already seen the show in Japan and around Europe. But it's attracted some criticism, including from the Roman Catholic Church.

Interesting that it would only attract "some criticism". The depravity that humankind is sinking too should not surprize me, but I must admit that it still does at times. This would be one of them.

The artsy-fartsy bunch in London has long been known for its, shall we say, low standards. It's unbelievable--Britain has one of the greatest collections of beautiful art in the world and has produced so many superb painters (I love Constable, check out some of his work on the web, Turner too), and the best they can do these days is this garbage. Ugh!

It's the pendalum [sp?] of art. these artists know they can't compete with the greats of the past. Ergo, we get nuo-trash.
