Hoola Hooping for Fun, Exercise & Home Business!

(Well, I put this under the Sports category, Melissa! Ha!)

A dear friend of mine is hooked on hoola hooping - for fun, exercise & a home business! She got me hooked as well, just not on the home business end of it yet.... We bought hoola hoops at the dollar store (yes, they only cost one dollar!). Then set about making some mix tapes of 80s dance music & other goodies like....oh...."I will survive" by Gloria Gaynor. We turned the music up & went to town! We were laughing so hard & our heartbeat was up, it was great fun and great exercise. (You don't just do it around your waist - you have to get it going around your neck, arms, ankles, etc.!) After a few months my friend decided to have a hoola hoop party - Well, this turned out to be a great idea! People came from miles around (literally) to hoola the night away. She kept having more parties. As the parties moved out into the yard in the summer, she decided she needed a bigger hoola hoop than the dollar store could provide & made herself one out of pvc & colorful electrical tape with gravel inside! THEN all her party-goers started asking if she could make them one - a new Home Business was born! She doesn't make too many or make too much money - it is a VERY on-the-side kind of job, but it's fun & brings in a little cash. Anyway, if anyone is looking for a cheap fun time with their family & friends - or looking for a new type of exercise - this is your thing! If you're in or near a college town, you might consider the home business aspect. Now, get to the dollar store!

PS - Beware of mixing hoola hooping with dogs - mine is petrified! ;)

That sounds like so much fun! We have a few hoola hoops around but they are too small for me. I never though of making my own.

We mix hoola hoops and dogs. All our dogs are trained to jump through them. Spot even hits the mini trampoline then through the hoop as it's held over the pony's back. Yup, gotta keep this dog and pony show going!

Sounds like I'm going to have to get a hoola hoop and have some fun!
