47/5.6 SA question

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Large format photography : One Thread

I want to buy a 47/5.6 Super Angulon to do wide angle stuff on 6x7 film with my Shen-Hao 4x5 Camera. I don't need the coverage(or the wallet-busting) of the XL, and from what I can see, the non-xl will cover 6x7 just fine. I have found one in a compur shutter, and it is listed as being "32MT" which is, I assume, probably the diameter of the hole it requires in the lensboard. Am I correct? other lenses are listed as "35MT" and if my supposition is correct I fear that this lens might not mount correctly in one of my standard recessed boards. Can anyone shed light on this for me? my camera takes wista-style boards. thanks!

Maybe I should add that it is in a synchro-compur shutter, with no number given although I would assume it would have to be a '0'. Speaking of which, is this shutter any better/worse that a copal(with which I am more familiar)?
