I used to subscribe to a yahoo group called Homesteading-and-Frugal-Livinggroups. Since the weeekend when yahoo went down, I haven't been able to find them. I can't find them listed in the directory. Does anyone know what happen to them? They had good advice and I met some very nice people. Thanks, Jamie

Hi Jamie, I don't know if this is the one you were looking for http://groups.yahoo.com/group/homesteadingharmony/ I know alot of the Yahoo groups got really messed up during the shutdown, about half of mine were lost or else I was 'unsubscribed'I had to resubscribe & then got all those welcome letters again but all within 2 days so I had alot of e-mail deleting to do. :) Now I put them in a file on my computer so I can try to recover them but it's not always successful. Hope this is the one or if not that you find it. Blessings, Kathy

The egroup I was with called the same name as you mentioned. Sent out an email a few weeks ago saying they quit and that would be the last email ever. Kinda of sad, I thought, enjoyed that particular email group. All others I ever had I didn't stay with, that one was well organized, but its gone now. Looking back at your message, it is the same one. The managers were in Wy. It is gone for good. Like you it is a lost I feel. Debbie

There was a club called Homesteading-and-Frugal-Livinggroups, Yahoo recently merged the yahoo clubs and the yahoo groups (was egroups groups). You might want to do a search for homestead and or frugal on the yahoo groups. I know a lot of the club people have been looking for new homes since they were forced to yahoo groups and now that yahoo groups has ads. www.smartgroups.com is another place to look for displaced forums.

I think Debby's right, Jamie. I, too, got a last message - seemed it said that Yahoo had too many sites connected to porn, etc., and the moderators of Homesteading (etc)wanted to get away from Yahoo. Yahoo didn't fit in with family and wholesome living. Maybe they'll start up somewhere else??

I agree with Debbie and Bonnie. I got an e-mail saying they were shutting down because they couldn't in all good conscience support Yahoo because Yahoo allowed too much porn so they were closing up shop. Too bad, because I used to get a lot of helpful info from them as well.
