packing feritized eggs for shipping

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

I need to ship a dozen fertilized eggs thru the PO. My friend wants to incubate them with one of her broody hens. What would be the best way to pack the eggs, and then what is the best way to label the outside of the package to prevent as much shaking up of the eggs as possible????

I have shipped eggs successfully before, but they were for eating. These are for hatching, sooooooo....

Go to www.poultryhelp.com and see how Pete Theer packs his. (BTW a GREAT site for chicken info.)
