married in a non-catholic church

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Catholic : One Thread

I was married in a Methodist church almost two years ago. My husband and I have also attended the church. Now, it gets complicated. I am Catholic (baptised, raised, Catholic School, you name it!). I want to return to the true church. I'm not sure what measures I should take. Also, how do I go about validating my marriage? Will the Catholic church accept my marriage as valid? I have some serious concerns, and after visiting several other churches, I know where my heart and CHRIST lives. If anyone can help, please respond! Thanks! Amy

You should go and have a chat with a priest, it should be no problem to get your marriage validated, but they will help you arrange everything. Welcome home!
