Rafaer, chihuahuas are delicate and not "kids" dogs unless the children are old enough to be very gentle and there is lots of supervision. That said, drop a note to The American Kennel Club and ask for a list of breeders in your area. I breed Chihuahuas and they do make great kid's dogs. But as with any dog or puppy, a child needs to understand that they should be kind and gentle. There is a site www.breeders.net which has listings for all breeds. All you do is type in your zip code and it will give you the names and numbers of all the breeders close to you. If you would like more info on that breed, I will be happy to help. But I live way to far away for you to see my puppies.

Great kid dogs ! Well you must have extra special ones.All the ones I know I would not trust .It makes perfect sense they are small and fragile .Kids are not carefull , they run,trip and make load noises.If I where that small I'd bite then too.

I'am looking for a tiny chi puppy to love, I know that little kids should not have a chihuahua as a pet, but I have no kids a home except my two cocker spaniels and they are my kids however they want a tiny chihuahua puppy for a little sister. I can't aford a real expensive dog but we do have a loving home and lots of love to give, I think a good dog for the kids would be a begal
