Best 3pt Rotary tiller to buy? Suggestions?

I have an old Case 310B tractor. I'm looking for a good rotary tiller about 54 inches wide, prefer gear driven if they are made. Anyone have any suggestions?

We have an old MF tractor. We have bought most of our implements at Tractor Supply and have had no problem with them. For a tiller you should buy a new one not someone elses headache.

We have a KUHN brand tiller for our MF. It's a 52 inch and requires a min. of 14 PTO Horsepower. It has worked excellently for us. The company makes tiller up to about 8 or 9 feet wide. The new cost for the EL32 model we have is $1,700.

I have a friend that uses a Landpride tiller in his landscaping operation. If I had the money I would buy thier reverse till model, it should prevent any tendency to bounce over even the hardest ground or large rocks.

Whatever tiller you buy I'd suggest getting one that the tines come straight out from the shaft and make a 90 degree turn as oppose the the ones where the tines come out at about a 45 degree angle from the shaft, you will get about 2 or 3 times the wear from the 90 degree ones because once the 45 degree angle tines wear a little they leave gaps between the tines.

Try Tractorbynet.com discussion board on tillers. There is a lot of information at that site about tillers. King Kutter makes a gear driven tiller for an economical price. They will send you information about there tillers and provide you with a dealer contact ( check their web site for contact information ). Tractor Supply Co. sells them. I believe your size would be around $1200 through Tractor Supply. Kuhn and Howard are excellent tiller brands. They make both gear and chain driven models but will cost more money than King Kutter.
