WANT TO KNOW IF YOU ARE IN THE GOVERNMENTS DATABASE?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

DO YOU WANT TO KNOW IF YOU ARE IN THE GOVERNMENTS DATA BASE. I FOUND A SITE THAT WON'T TELL YOU EVERYTHING, BUT IT WILL TELL YOU IF THE GOVERNMENT HAS YOU ON A LIST AND IF THEY HAVE YOUR PICTURE.

http://www.thecenter2000.com/access_public_records.htm

I was surprised that they had my picture. It wasn't one of my best pictures.

Second attempt to get this message through? ?

Anyway. . . . Randy, about a year or more ago, I received an email from my sister telling me she had happened onto this database, and after entering her name, decided to see if any of her friends or family were listed, and that my name had come back as having a file.

What a fright! Scared the dickens out of me. It is fearful to contemplate a government run amok!

I discovered they did NOT have MY picture on file. . .but they DID have hers.

Enjoy Randy!

I guess the big question should be:

Is there a common denominator that caused these people to be entered in such a database.

And what would that commonality be?

Government service (civilian or uniformed) Driver's Licenses Convicted felon (don't take offense, I'm not accusing anyone) Public Office

Anyone want to compare notes?

Seems to me if you give them part of your ssn, your state, first and last name your going to be in someones database even if its not the government.
