2002 (rough) Starting Point Budget / "Thursday Calculator"

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Admin02 : One Thread

This link will take you to a "working" spreadsheet designed to do 2 things: Provide a rough estimate of the additional employee-related costs of the extra (1/2) day on Thursday; and make it easier to arrive at the starting figures for this year's employment budget.

An interesting feature of this spreadsheet is you can enter numbers into the "percentages" column and see the affects on the totals: It works online just as if it was on your own computer. The directions and explanations are included below the spreadsheet, so no need to go into them here. But the gist of it is, if you're curious as to what happens if different numbers of staff are scheduled to work in different areas (on Thursday), all you need to do is change the "percent of staffing" figure and press enter.

You can also quickly and easily download a copy of the spreadsheet to your computer (it will automatically open in Microsoft Excel), which will make it possible for you to save different versions of the scenarios you come up with, or print them to look at and think about away from the computer.

If you have any questions, comments, suggestions, or want to make any notes about the spreadsheet, just click the "Contribute an answer" button below, type them in, and this software will add them below (on this page), and it will also email a copy of it to me (and anyone else who has "added an alert" - see "About this forum / system" on the main list of topics).

Just use your browser's Back button to return here from the "Thursday Calculator."
