meds for goat

I got a medicine named Strongid T (2cc) at the local vet's -- they had IVermectin at the co-op but in 15% only. I also got Panacur (3cc) for worming and they said it was the same as Albon but in generic form. They measured out the dosages for me after I told them her weight and heart girth. How many times do I need to get this medicine for her. Does the sulfa one last 21 days? She weighs 17lbs. and 18inches is the heart girth. Is this ok?

Wendy emailed me this privately also. 1st Strongid T is a wormer, Ivermectin does not come in 15% that I know of unless it is some sort of pour-on? And Panacur is also a wormer, has nothing to do with a sulfa which is what Albon is. You use all sulfa's for 5 days, most of them you use full strength the first day and then day 2,3,4, and 5 you use half strength, except sulfaquinoxiline which you use the same dosage for the whole 5 days. Get back with the vet and either straigten up the information or perhaps you wrote something down wrong. I don't sue Strongid T or Panacur for worming so you may want to go to saanendoah.com and check out your strengths unless someone on this list uses them. Vicki
