Pigs and Electric net fencing

Has anyone had any experience using electric net fencing with pigs? I use it a lot for the sheep so I thought I could use it for feeder pigs too. It is a lot easier to move than pounding in rebar and stringing wire for an electric fence.

I've used it for sows before. It kept the sows in very well. It provides a good visual barrier that I was unable to get with a single strand. Very effective when a sow touched it with a ring in her nose!

The little piglets ran right through it. This wasn't really a problem since I didn't care if they stayed in the pen or not. However, as they got older, they began to tear the netting as they went through. If a hog is hit or shocked in front of their ears, they will tend to back up. If hit or shocked behind their ears, they will move forward. As the little pigs got shocked on the shoulder or back. They would jump through the fence and tear the netting.

The other downside is the cost of the netting. My next experiment will be with the wide tapes that are used for horses. I hope that provides a good enough visual barrier for the pigs.
