TJD Wisconsin engine or a fairbanks-morse Y-79 magneto for same?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

I am in need of a used Wisconsin 2 cylinder TJD engine or a Y79 fiarbanks morse magneto for that engine. I understand they were used on a lot of older haybalers and other farm machinery. Any help would be very much appreciated.

thanks

You might try your state sponsored Agriculture review magazine, which (at least here on the east coast) is published through the USDA and lists many (free to post, free to read) wanted/ classified ads for used farm machinery. If you see someone with many items similar, you might call and ask if he/ she has PATS for your application. If you are especially lucky to have one around (there are several in southern PA that I know of and maybe 1 or 2 around here in NC) a tractor/ farm impliment junk yard- just like an auto junkyard- might exist somewhere near you. Though this might not answer you question, it might show you another route=)

Wayne, I have seen magnetos for sale on ebay. Also check out Yesterdays tractors stationary engine discussion group at http://www.ytmag.com/station/wwwboard1.html Tom
