Corn Syrup?????

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Cooking & Crafts : One Thread

I was looking at the recipe below and I noticed you use corn syrup. I just bough a bottle and had no idea what I would do with it. Does anyone have any other recipe suggestions using light corn syrup? Thank You, Melinda

Among the things I use light corn syrup in is pecan pies (or any simular based pie), hard candy, and sweet pototoes.

I mostly use it for hard tac or seven minute frosting and in a pinch for making "maple" syrup.

My husband is allergic to honey, so I use it as a substitute for honey in recipes.

I grew up in WV and we used cornsyrup as a sweet treat. We mixed the syrup with butter or margarine and dipped bread into it. MMMM
