I will be taking a trip for 5 days, I am going to Taladega Alabama for the races. I will be leaving Wensday evening right after I finish up at the Auto Auction, will meet some friends in Tallahassa and leaving from there Thursday morning.

NASCAR Racing is one of my vices (among many). I have always wanted to attend the races in Taladega and was excited when I was invited to go with a group of men who attend every year when one of thier group dropped out.

Don't forget your binoculars!! Talledega is a big track and when the cars are on the other side they look like ants. MY husband and I are both big NASCAR fans. We have been to the races at Talledega as well as many other tracks. My favorite track to go to is Bristol.

Also, don't forget to check what you can and can not bring into the track. Each track is different and since Sept 11 they have all gone a little crazy about what you can bring in. Lots of grumbling from fans as one track will allow something but another track will ban it.

Otherwise ENJOY!!! Will be wishing I was there, too!

P.S. In July my husband and I will be moving back to MO (where I grew up) because of my mom's terminal illness. Just want to be close for whatever time is left but we are on the border of MO/KS and so we will be about 30 minutes from the new Kansas Speedway. Guess I'll have to go and check that one out!

We are mega Nascar fans here! Why do you think we moved to Virginia from Florida??? It is Nascar centrally located...LOL! Ok, that's not really why we moved but it did come to mind! We are within 2 hours of Bristol, Charlotte, & Martinsville and within a days drive to just about everything else except those out west.

We had to laugh this week: Matt Kenseth ended up 2nd and won $97,000; Jeff Gordon ended up in 23rd place and won $107,000. And poeple don't think all those sponsor stickers add up?
