Very Large Home in Ontario, Canada for sale w/ 5 acres..

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

We have a 4000 sq ft home for sale Between Belleville, Kingston and Petorborough, Ontario Canada. There are 5 bedrooms plus an office that could be an additional bedroom, 4 bathrooms and much more. The home was originally built to be a home plus an inlaw suite, we have however used it as one home. There is lots of potential to remake it an apartment, or inlaw suite again. It is a bungalow, made out of blue-max construction which means the exterier walls are concrete. This house is never falling down! The home is less then 1 year old, surrounded by beautiful mature trees all around. There is most of the 5 acres cleared, although we do have lots of trees for wood too. There is a corral for horses with a shelter and hay storage as well as about an acre fenced for pasture. We have a hen house which houses 10 chickens. There are raised beds that we used for our vegetable garden, but this would have been our first real summer here, and we found a spot with about a foot of topsoil! That would have been where the big garden would have gone. I won't get into details about the house here, but if you are interested and would like to know specifics, please email with your questions. We need $190,000 from the sale of the home, the replacement value being over $300,000. It is beautiful country out here, lakes all around the area. The house is surrounded by hundreds of acres of land, it is very peaceful and private-though there are wonderful neighbours just down the road. This would have been our homesteading dream, but the Lords plans are better then our own, and were off to a new place. I have used one of the bedrooms as our schoolroom-well, I already said I wasen't geting into specifics! Thank you, and god Bless.

I thought I would add that the house is not just concrete-it is covered with siding! Just in case I left some of you with the wrong impression...!

I'm not interested and couldn't afford that for sure but for just to be more clear is that $190,000 Canadian or American dollars?

I'm assuming that price is in Canuck Bucks. Would you be willing to finance, with a weeny downpayment??

Your place sounds PERFECT for us. We are currently living in Toronto and would like to get out, but can't go too far because of work/business. Could you be more specific about the location?

Y'know, I'm actually getting tears in my eyes because this is what i've been looking for but can't afford it right now... :(
