Looking for wanna-be homesteaders/organic farmers

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

Although I have a couple dozen WWOOF'ers (Willing Workers On Organic Farms)and folks who want to work for experience lined up, I thought I'd see if anybody else is interested.

Spring happened fast and we are now hard at work in the garden. If you are interested in coming to Vermont for a few days or a few weeks, we take in folks.

Particulars are here....http://www.homestead.com/peaceandcarrots/HomesteadInternships.html

We are nice, but have had some weird experiences in the past. Make sure you read the idiot warning page ;-) Be afraid, be very afraid ;-)

On a little different note, how is Heather's cabin coming along.

I enjoyed reading about it and seeing the pictures.

Heather has spent a chunk of the late winter/early spring working as a carpenter in town. $444/week for an 18 year old isn't bad!! ;-)

She has scrounged some building materials, an unwanted window and a bunch of light fixtures and a ceiling fan from this last job. The new owners got rid of LOTS of *good* stuff. Her house is closed in and looking more like a house every day. Hopefully tomorrow is her last day renovating in town. I desperately need her in the garden! ;-)

Here are the latest pics and last journal entries. She has not updated in 2 weeks...... http://www.homestead.com/peaceandcarrots/HousePics4.html
