Looks like a machine to strip kernals off cobs to me but it is interesting, and I'd like to know myself (general interest I don't want the beast!:^) Here's a link to make it easier, Ebay grain mill Hopefully that works OK!!

I have one just like it. It's used to grind fruit before you put it into a bag to press. I use it with apples to make cider. It could be used for grapes also. I don't think anything hard like dry corn would work in it.

I put "tons" of winesap apples through a twin to that one back in the 1940s and 1950s. It sat on a round washtub which caught the crushed apples. Don't know who worked harder, me cranking that or my grandfather turning the screw on the cider press. Now wondering what happened to the set that we had on the farm.

Not ever seeing one of these before it seemed like the metal tines are to far apart to do any damage to any type of grain.Ross,Paul Thankyou. Dave P.S Chuck I don't think this thread will be of any help in the future,if you want to delete it! Thanks

Thanks Martin! Maybe someone here can use it since I have no use for a fruit grinder. Thanks to all. Dave

Cool! I want it! Bet the shipping is as much as the item, though.

We have one for our cider press but not nearly as big or as old. Neat!!

The crusher that your asking about would be good for grapes or the like only, as it would jam up if you where to try to put apples through it. imho
