I had a really good day yesterday. I got some filings done downtown I needed to do. I went to the auction and met a guy there who came 500 miles to see my car hauler. He only wanted the trailer, which was fine with me. I sold it for $21,500 with $10,000 down and the balance in two payments of $5,750 over the next sixty days. Selling the tractor seperately will be no problem and this deal helps some short term cash flow problems.

We did the paperwork at my office then took a trailer of mine out to the Deere dealer so I could pick up a little riding mower for some 'trailerless' friends of mine and deliver it to their house for them. We got there and they were cooking out and invited us to join them. I've known them for a while and am still not sure which of them is the better cook. Needless to say the food was excellent. It was a great meal and the company even better. All in all a very good day.

Gary!! I need to know some of the people you know!! It is one of the downfalls of being considered to be a "good" cook. Everyone is afraid to invire me for a meal!!! One of my friends said it would be like having Martha Stewart over for dinner!!! But I am not obnoxious!!!

I don't think being fed after hooking up my trailer to my truck and running 20+ miles burning my gas to the Deere dealer to meet a deadline to pick up someone else's equipment and deliver it to them and then being offered a burger exactly qualifies as "freeloading" here. ;o) I don't think I'd have been able to be hired to do that for $100, which makes this a pretty expensive meal when put in those terms. I did the tote and deliver because they're very nice people and friendsl
