Have your friend drive to Lee Watson's Reptile Swap in Streamwood (about an hour north). It's not just reptiles--in the back room are farm people who raise ducklings and chicks and sell them there. Also, there are a couple of guys out front who sell rabbits and chickens who also have some ducks. Go to reptileswap.com for the address, dates, map, etc. Very interesting experience to go there.
