Mother's Day

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Thoughts : One Thread

Mother's Day is coming up, and I was wondering if any of you have any ideas for presents. I usually make my mom something, for example, Japanese picture books. What's something that mom's like? (And don't say grandchildren, or I will box you in the face.)

Your mom likes Bjork? Your mom's cool.

A son in law... and grandkids. Neener! *runs*

Oh wait, did I say 'Bjork CD'? I meant to say 'grandchildren and a son-in-law'....*running right beside Tony*.

Telling us NOT to suggest the 'grandkids' thing is only setting yourself up for witty remarks ne! :)

On Mother's Day, I like to remind my mom that she's fortunate enough to have me. Shouldn't that be present enough?

Is there something you're not telling me, Joy? Are you getting married and having babies? Is my little girl growing up?

You are all dirty jerks. It just so happens that my mom was here reading this thread with me, and when she saw "grandchildren and a son-in-law", she said, "Hey, that's not a bad idea." I'm shaking my fist at you ALL!

I think that I'll make my mom something handmade again this year, and by "make" and "handmade", I don't mean doing the horizontal limbo. I'll have to visit a fabric store and pick out something festive to make her a couple of scrubs with.
