Anything spectacular on the menu today???

I think I am having ham, green beans, potatoes, bread, and strawberries with fruit dip for dessert.

Saurkraut and garlic mashed potatoes, and green onions, Gary will have a pork tenderloin. Strawberries or other frozen fruit with whipped cream, and if I get a mind to, gingerbread cookies.

Tomorrow or Wed. I'll make pot pie with the leftover soup I made yesterday-drain and freeze the broth. It is almost too good. Gary takes th soup in his lunch, too. It's chickie broth veggie soup, with homemade whole wheat noodles, YUM!

I'm thinking Garlic Roast Pork with potaotes and carrots, bread, and if I get to it today (cause it's laundry day..ahhhh!) I'm thinking of making either a peach or apple pie.

Grilled Salmon with lemon wedges, sugar snap peas, wild rice and I am thinking about Irene's Strawberry Salad again. It was delicious. God Bless

We made Jambalaya again this weekend, so we may have leftovers. But if there are enough eggs today (I used them up this weekend) we'll have asparagus quiche - yum, fresh goat cheese, new asparagus cut right from the ground, green garlic shoots - all from home. And then spinach salad - homegrown spinach, arugula and radishes from the garden. And rhubarb compote. And maybe icecream, which didn't come from here - but this is pretty close to being the perfect homestead meal!

DH is ill today, so I will fix a big pot of chicken soup, with possibly a cake for late night snacking.

Chicken on the barbeque grill! The kids bought us one of those kettle grill things a few Saturdays ago (wasn't that nice of them?), so I have a few pieces of chicken breasts marinating in barbeque sauce in the refrigerator..later, I'll slice a huge potato in half, brush it with olive oil and then rub fresh garlic chives on it and put it cut side down on the grill, close the lid and bake the halves for a long time...we love these type of baked potatoes..the chicken goes on when the potaoes are halfway done..yummy! Tossed salad and the meal is ready!

I got a nice round steak on special this morning-I love shopping on Monday mornings-you get the weekend stuff marked down!!! I put it in my crockpot with a bunch of pototos- actually, its probably going to be more like steak flavored potatoes, depending on how many we have to dinner...I'm never sure so I just cook up big pots of stuff. To go with-freezer rolls, FRESH ASPERAGUS!!!! and cheesecake with fresh strawberries. I love spring......

I just read what everyone else is haveing for supper----I don't know yet--as I have been up stairs most of the day packing antiques I have brought home from consignment stores---had stuff all over the upstairs---& since we have all our property for sale thought it might be agood idea to pack up all that stuff & lable all the boxes--- What ever we have it isn't going to have eggs in it-----

I have been boiling eggs for baby chicks & ducks & peeling eggs for weeks----the smell of hard boiled eggs is in my nose & I smell it all the time----

Had more baby chicks hatch out today---so more eggs hard boiled!! ha!!

I'd love to be able to go in the kitchen & find something really great to make----but I think it will be meatless spanish rice & veggies & maybe schwans---treats!!! ha!

I'm not very inventive today!!!! My back is out from moveing boxes--- & my spirit of adventure--is null & void this afternoon!!! ha!!
