The Prisoner and Aeon Flux

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Aeon Flux : One Thread

I was just introduced by a friend to the tv series "The Prisoner" and it reminded me a lot of Aeon Flux (the talking series). Does anyone know if Peter saw it? Has anyone else here seen it?

Its quite good, about a British secret agent taken to an island against his will, and manipulated in various ways by the Western powers in order to get information from him.

What makes it so fascinating is that his torturer's are "the good guys" ie America and Britain, and the absolutely surreal environments of the show.

Thank you! I always have insisted that AEon Flux is the best television project of its kind since The Prisoner, and I often compare the two series.

Whats really funny is that I wrote this before finding out about Peter's uber-individualism. Now that I see that, I am finding all kinds of other parallels between the shows.

Yeah, Peter's certainly that.

I am glad to see that someone else has noticed the similarities. I have always been a huge fan of both Aeon and The Prisoner. They are both quite thought provoking. I wonder what Peter Chung thinks about The Prisoner?
