IH M carborator

I am having trouble w/ carborator adjustment.All it wants to do is flood out and when it does run has no power. Engine was just O/H 75 hrs ago approx.Had carb.boiled out and kit put in to no avial. Thank's.,Larry maybe some one know's where to get it fixed or get a replacement????

Hey Larry! Assuming the "boiling out" was done properly with no vents clogged--no holes in the float---check the float level. Sounds like it's set too high. old hoot. Matt. 24:44

Yup, I'd wonder if you put a new float in with that kit. If you're positive it's the carb, I'd do as Hoot suggested and make sure it's within specs and not leaking. Those problems could also be other things than the carb. Ignition timing could be one. Has it run like this since the o/h?

What model IH is this?

Does gas run out of the carb with the engine off?If so your carb needle valve is stuck or installed incorrectly.The biggest problem I find folks do is to install the wire that holds the float up wrong.Also could be trash that got into the needle valve,in old tractors its a good idea to install an inline filter in the fuel line between the tank and the carb.
