Mark Boyd

Has anyone seen this lad in the Reserves this season - I see he's played fairly regularly. I hear he is about to join Port Vale - is he worth having and could he hack it in the dire world of Division Two football?

He's a decent young m/f player: Green, Kerr and Boyd are all very similar - neat and tidy, and quite skilful.

While Brian Kerr now seems to be in favour at SJP, I don't think any of them are developing to the point where they will make it in the PL. Div 2 could be the right level.

Sorry to disagree with Clarky and to upset you Jacko. The first thing I thought of when I read this in tonight's Ronnie was "poor Jacko". Mark Boyd. Dear me. Why Port Vale? Why not Oldham? Is he not even good enough for Mick Wadsworth? Then I thought I'd better tell the truth. Decent midfielder, who IMHO, won't crack it in the EPL, but probably able to hold his own in the Nationwide. Not dissimilar to Jamie McClen, tho I suspect McClen's attitude may eventually let him down. Dunno about Boyd's attitude tho. I hope he's a roaring success for you Jacko!
