Most people seem to like or think of Custom Process, on 5th near Virginia? Somewhere around there. For B&W, PhotoLab is the only way to go, IMO. 4th near Bancroft.

For what type of service? Custom process does good enlargements and E6, but there D&P on color negs isn't anything special and is more expensive than most places. I have used another lab called "Lightwaves" near Ashby that did great enlargements. I'm digging for the number and can't seem to find it right now.

photolab's prints are very boring. they specialize in straight even photojournalism type printing and fail with anything custom such as dodging and burning for an art photograph.

If you don't mind trying the regular mail to send me some of your B&W negs I would be most happy to show you what I can do for you. I'll even do the first 8X10 ( or 7X10 ) at a reduced rate so we may get to know one another. All prints done on fiber base to archival standards. RC also available at reduced rate. Thank you.
