These new forums

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Style Homesteading : One Thread

I usually check out the www.countrysidemag.com forum every morning. I must admit I am getting very confused about all these forum changes and think perhaps I am missing alot of good info because I am on the "wrong" one. Can someone help clarify all these mysterious goings on for me and inform me of the correct web address to use. Thanks. Layne

Phil, is this forum remaining. . . or moving on too?

Layne, the forum that Country Side Mag points to is in fact moving - here is the link:

(Click here to go there) or you can copy the URL into the address bar at the top of your browser ... here it is:

http://homestead.mission4me.com/

That forum is pretty active, but it still has some wrinkles to be worked out. You will get a lot of help in figuring it out if you need it - the folks over there are pretty helpful.

This forum (Country Style Homesteading) has quiet a few participants and will remain right where it is as long as LUSENET is up and running. There are other offshoots of CS forum, and there could be others in the future (anyone can start a forum on LUSENET) ... my suggestion would be to bookmark your favorites and scan through them to see if there are topics of interest.

Many of the folks like it here because the format is so simple and easy to navigate and it doesn't take a lot of time to come up on your screen. The site CS forum moved to has a lot of "bells and whistles" and takes longer to load and takes some getting used to.

One of the nice features there is the ability to search through the forums for a particular subject and not have to wade through all the previous posts to find what you're looking for. There are other features that are pretty cool, if you don't mind getting used to all the "bells and whistles."

On the other hand, if you like it here and want to keep checking back, we'll be here! The folks here are very helpful, knowledgable, and willing to help out any way they can. And in my humble opinion, we're a pretty laid-back bunch.

I hope that answers some of your questions and we hope to see you around! If you have any other questions or concerns, feel free to email me or post here - I'll get back to you as quick as I can.

Hope you have a great day filled with laughter and sunshine! Thanks a bunch!
