Hey, Caretaker!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside II : One Thread

Chuck deleted your invitation to Countryside II off of the "Countryside has moved" forum. I guess he doesn't want any competition?

I have not posted an invitation on Chuck's "Countryside has moved" post. Perhaps YOU were the one that posted it?

-- Caretaker (none@this.time2), May 14, 2002.

GOOD GRIEF!! NO, I am NOT the one who posted the invitation! (and what's the point of accusing me of posting it??) Actually, I mistakingly assumed it was you who posted it. I went back and checked a couple of the other forums where the invitation was also posted and it was CS (csalt@hotmail.com). Sorry for confusing you with someone else. I THOUGHT I was trying to be helpful. Oh, well...

lol, wow. Everyone must be shaken up from all these changes lately. I don't think Caretaker was accusing you or even concerned about it.

Don't worry about it. Let's return to normality ok?

*sigh*

If I was in error of accusing you then I apologize.

-- Caretaker (none@this.time2), May 14, 2002.

To the person who IS posting all these "invitations", spam and D.O.S. attacks I'd just like to suggest to them that maybe it's time to get a job.

Or see a mental health provider...

-- Caretaker (none@this.time2), May 14, 2002.

Caretaker I vote for them to get mental health provider

-- Bo (here@here.com), May 14, 2002.

Dave, maybe you're right and I'm still shaken up from all the changes. It just really got me that the first time I posted on one of these new forums that I'm accused (re-read Caretaker's post) of trying to play some sort of mind game, I guess. That's the way I took it anyway because if *I* was the person that originally posted the invitation and then *I* came over here and posted this thread, that would be some sort of mind game, right?

Caretaker, yes you were in error. I accept your apology. :o)

No one deleted the post, I was just there and the post is still up. That's how I knew where to come. Some one is just trying to start something.

-- just me (noonehome@here.com), May 14, 2002.

I don't know why I'm wasting my "breath" but my intentions were originally good and still are. There are two invites still out there on CountrySide Family forum and CountryLiving forum. The one I mentioned was on "COUNTRYSIDE HAS MOVED" forum and it WAS deleted!! Caretaker, since I was only trying to inform you (and if you had posted a real e-mail I would have e-mailed instead) why don't you just delete this thread. Thanks!

I don't know who the heck you are.................but I hate being "kidnapped" and think this is a big pile of CRAP!!! People ought to be able to check out forum with out this BS

-- diane (gardiacaprines@yahoo.com), May 15, 2002.

Thick skins, thick skins! If you all could look objectively at yourselves it is sort of funny! No one is doing anything other than trying to help. Chill, take a deep breath, and move on! All this wasted energy could be so much better used in the garden, digging holes, working animals, something. My personal opinion!

-- Susan in MN (nanaboo@paulbunynan.net), May 15, 2002.

the one on countryside family,,I edited so it wasnt a kidnapp anymore., I thought mayeb caretaker posted those,, maybe not

-- Stan (sopal@net-pert.com), May 15, 2002.

Thank you stan........I really do have thick skin by the way Susan, I just don't like to be scared half to death. And also, I do work hard most of the day.........just take my breaks on the computer thinking it might be FUN to communciate with other homesteaders!!!! I am one of those people getting up there in years who love what they are doing and don't intend to retire, but have to take frequent breaks.

We do need a place to gather, those of us who are actually so far out in the country that our dial-ups are very slow. I just want to have fun and hear what others are up to. I personally don't have any big grudges with ANYONE, no pots to stir or fires to start with those who left or those who are still around lucenet. Just want to have fun and talk homesteading.

-- diane (gardiacaprines@yahoo.com), May 15, 2002.

To Stan and diane: I haven't posted any of those "capture" links. That's not the way to invite people to your forum, in my opinion. I posted one link on the original Countryside but that's it.

-- Caretaker (none@this.time2), May 15, 2002.

Okay! I am totally clueless, what the heck are you guys talking about? What is this kidnapping thing? Please, fill me in!!

-- Susan in MN (nanaboo@paulbunyan.net), May 15, 2002.

Diane,

Me too. ( age thing ) I am always thankful for my energy and strength, but I've noticed in just the last year, I have to take breaks more often than before. If I spend one day doing lots of physical stuff, the next day I find myself doing the easy jobs. LOL!

Susan, I clicked on a thread in one of the new forums......it was something like "what this board is about" and it "GRABBED" my computer and brought me here. I was really scared to be quite honest, scared that someone had figured out how to hack into my computer. When I realized what happened I got REALLY, REALLY pissed off. Hence my very angry post. Stan said he didn't do it, and the "orginater??" of this forum says he? didn't. Soooooooo, yet another mystery. Seems folks could just move on and get a life or something instead of messing with other folks that just want to have some fun. We need to just consolidate into a couple of boards, those of us who are left here, and just enjoy each other or the whole thing will flop.

-- diane (gardiacaprines@yahoo.com), May 15, 2002.

That is how I get here. I check into CountryLiving and get here by some sort of board magic. I don't even need to chlick on anything other than the tread. The same sort of set up that Chuck has on the old countryside site to move people to the new site. You get moved automatically. So what board it this supposed to be? It said that None@thistime was the moderator. The first one I originally clicked on I can't remember what it said and if I go back to check I can't get back here to finish this post. I'll check and come and do another poat after that. It is strange!

-- Susan in MN (nanaboo@paulbunyan.net), May 16, 2002.

I sent the moderator of the original forum a note to let them know what is happening.

-- Susan in MN (nanaboo@paulbunyan.net), May 16, 2002.

Okay now I see what is happening! We are all going over to the Countryside II forum. I click on the CountryLife forum and get taken over to here. That does not make me happy!!!
