I figure its too late, but my goosling was hatching ok

We found a canadian goose egg about a month ago. We were collecting up the eggs our not so bright ducks were laying and found it. We said what the hay and put it in there also. Doing research we know it takes a few extra days for a goosling, but other then that everything is similar to a duckling. My problem and I figure its too late, but am giving it the chance anyhow. My problem is this and before you ask no I didnt try to remove it form its egg. I broke off the top where it was pipped same as I did with 2 tame goose eggs I was given. The other 2 made it out ok. The wild one isnt. It has pushed itself out but there is something still trailing behind that looks kinda like intestines. Is there any way this coulda been fixed. Although its still alive I dont hold much hope in finding the answer in time for this baby, but would like it just incase. Thanks for any help. LS

Sorry for the delayed answer. Probably the baby hatched a little too quick. What was trailing was likely the remaining egg yolk that is supposed to be drawm into the baby's body just shortly before hatching. I've had a few chicks do this, and they all died no matter what I tried. It is apparently just an accident of nature, although it is troublesome to have worked and waited all that time and get nothing in return. Sorry.
