I wonder if I could get any comments on the below article, especially from our resident psychologists here on this forum. It seems the American Psychiatric Association can't decide whether pedophilia is right or wrong! "It just depends on the mental state of the adult -- whether he feels anxious about his actions or not" And notice the Article comes from Massachusetts!

If anything good can come out of this scandal, perhaps it will be that the Church (all churches) will stop listening to the insidious evils propounded by our all-knowing and omniscient psychologists!

And while we are at it lets stop listening to our teachers and professors, sorcerers that they are. What do these folks know, that we don't know better. The truth that Gail is speaking of is the lies and half truths the phychlology field gave the Church in claican cure ming that they pedophilia and other sexual disorders.

I have personally seen News articles on the cable news in which the medical field has admitted their roles in this fiasco. They led the bishops into thinking that they could cure these people when they knew it may not work that well if never.

It became apparent later in their studies that they failed completely.

Psychiatrists Also Are Questioned

The professional association of psychiatrists, also known as the APA (American Psychiatrists Association) has sent a signal that it too will support the “normalization” of sex with children. They quietly changed their diagnostic manual a few years back so that a person no longer has a “disorder” simply because he molests children. To be diagnosed as “disordered,” the psychiatrists must look to the psyche of the adult. If the adult does not feel anxious about the relationship with the child or if he is not impaired in his work or social relationships, then he has no “disorder.”

A high official in the American Psychiatric Association, Dr. Kathleen M. Mogul of Newton, attempted to refute Pawlick's article with a personal attack in a letter to the Newton Tab. She said his “anti-gay mailing...spread untruths not only about gays but also about the psychiatric profession.” Pawlick had written:

“Because the homosexual community is sharply divided on this subject, the study [that was published by the American Psychological Association] will undoubtedly cause consternation among them. Homosexuals are proud of the fact that most child molesters are not homosexuals. But they do not consider that the only reason this is true is because only 3% of the population are homosexuals; the truth is that pedophilia is more than three times more common among homosexuals. Some studies have shown that 35% of pedophiles are homosexual. It is estimated that approximately 80% of pedophilic victims are boys who have been molested by adult males.”

When Dr. Mogul spoke at the Newton meeting against Pawlick, she said that only 30% of pedophiles are homosexuals (which was almost the figures cited by Pawlick in his mailing.) But the head of the Christian Coalition in Massachusetts, Evelyn Reilly, pointed out during a question period that according to Dr. Mogul's own numbers, this meant that a homosexual was from 3 to 10 times more likely to be a pedophile. This stunned Dr. Mogul and the audience into total silence with no answer forthcoming.

In his reaction to the apology by the American Psychological Association, Pawlick commented, “Although it is good news that both APA's are going on record against pedophilia, it really doesn't mean anything until they actually change their policies. It's easy to mouth a few words. The psychologists should be firing the person who decided to publish that study in their journal and the psychiatrists should be changing their DSM. We'll know they're serious when they take some action, not just talk about it.

“It's apparent we have serious problems when a top official of the American Psychiatric Association makes personal attacks against me just because I told the obvious, that the majority of the push for pedophilia is coming from the homosexual community, such as the North American Man/Boy Love Association. The homosexual community must take a serious stand against it, not just talk about it. That is not 'hate' talk; that is just the truth.” Also, Tom, your comments about 'slavery' show your ignorance on the subject. And just to the set the record straight,

Slavery, in Bible times, was the VOLUNTARY selling of oneself or children into slavery in exchange for food and lodging.

Kidnapping and forced labor (slavery in modern times) was and is an ABOMINATION to God and a heinous crime according to the Bible!

Actually I had debated this "slaver" topic with another non-Catholic who used the argument that "the Church taught slavery". I will confirm that the "slavery" of the OT and NT in the Bible refered to servitude, rather than abuse. They were the working class, and like you had mentioned, Gail, they weren't forced or abused. If we think about it, we are all slaves (using the past defenition), because we all have a boss / manager, and we must work and comply under their authority. It was only untill later that slavery started to be abused, and then the term slavery started to mean something else.

Thanks for your input. I think the problem is even bigger, though, than 'they can't cure' . . . the problem is they think there is NOTHING TO CURE! There is no disorder as long as the ADULT doesn't feel anxious about it. Is that SICK or what? This is AMERICAN PSYCHIATRIC ASSOCIATION -- These people are succumbing to the 'homosexual agenda' are they not? No wonder we're in the mess we are in!

That is not to say that the leadership isn't culpable because they are in that they have strayed from the pure teachings of the church and embraced this 'false God' known as secular humanism!

I am not against all phychologists and their people. i personally have had counselling from them for several years for severe depression and a former drinking problem.

I can say they have helped with open ears to help me see some things so I could survive. It does NOT in any way cure you at all. It simply allows you to see who you are and with proper help and medication too you can be helped, not cured. That is the key, helped.

The depression that I had is actually still with me and will probably will for years to come. One of the Graces GOD gave me is a good and understanding wife who has been a blessing in my life now. I was a widower for 8 years prior to meeting and marrying her 19 months ago. My previous wife died from cancer after 9 long years. So that is all for now.

Hi Fred:

I'm not against psychologists or psychiatrists either. They certainly do have a place in the body of Christ, but it is Christ that heals, and Christ that leads!

The point I'm making is that when we rely on psychology to determine our morality we get into trouble, and actually make idols or gods out of them, rather than turning to our Lord and His Holy word for direction.

Let me get specific -- We know that the Bible clearly teaches Christ's special love for children. The strongest comment Christ ever made was the 'millstone around the neck' of those who would harm them. If certain leaders in the Church would have tried to find the heart of God on the matter by turning to His word, instead of psychology, they NEVER would have turned the wolves out upon the most innocent of sheeps -- they wouldn't have taken the chance.

Tony, I'm sorry but what does "neglat" mean? Can't find in the dictionary.

Tony, do you realize that 90 to 95 percent of the incidents in question are homosexual men seducing and/or molesting teenage boys? They are minors, adolescents, not small children the way the press would like you to believe. I hardly think the parents are to blame for not being glued to their teenager's side.

My point in adding this article to the forum was to show that the "secular" American Psychiatric Association has been guilty of promoting sex between adults and children! And that their policies have been influenced by the homosexual agenda in this country, and that that agenda has crept into our society, schools, churches -- tried to influence the Boy Scouts but they had the moral fiber to say "No".

Do you realize, Tony, that in most schools today homosexuality is being taught to 1st graders? Do you think that's alright, Tony? Don't you think that it is a crying shame that children of any age can't go to Disney World without being forced to see homosexual couples engaged in activities that are indecent, to say the least? Do you know, Tony, that at Disney World in Florida, child abduction is commonplace?

Yes, we parents to have a role to play in all this. We can say . . .

"NO more. We are not going to have the homosexual agenda shoved down our throats. We are not going to have children misled into thinking that this type of sin is acceptable in our society or to our God. We are not going to have liberals and secular humanists invade our homes, our churches and our schools in order to desecrate our little ones! In most of the schools around here, you can opt to have your child not receive sex education classes and they don't begin teaching this crap until the 5th grade. Six-year old babies don't need to know this stuff.

You are correct - child abductions at Disney World are commonplace. There are too many wackos out there to turn your back on your children for ONE MINUTE. Our babies do not need to be exposed to the blatant exhibition between gays. Strange, isn't it how heterosexual people can keep their bedroom antics in their bedroom (for the most part), but the gays seem to feel obligated to rub our noses in it.
