Saw a Senna today

greenspun.com : LUSENET : MV Agusta F4 : One Thread

I went to the local dealer and saw a Senna today. Nice bike. I keep saying that I already have a special bike, and I don't need a special-special bike, but it's just so nice... It's got the SPR speedo which confirms that under the pretty clothes it's a breathed on machine. I figure if you are going to buy the SPR and not race it or ride it hard, you may as well get this one.

Anyway, I took a couple of rolls of pictures of it (yeah yeah, I use that old film stuff) and I hope to get them developed and scanned soon. The background was the alley behind the shop, so it's going to be one of those fine art/industrial waste type pictorials...

Oh yeah, another thing about this bike that I remember off hand. It has a 180 back tire. Looks much better suited to the wheel. Confirms my suspicions that a 180 should have been on there all along.

180 as opposed to what?

180 as opposed to a 190. The 190 is too wide. I can use it out to the edge, but it slows down turn in, and I don't think there is a real decrease in traction going to 180.

I never understood why Ducati pinches a 190 onto that 5.5 inch wheel. Stupid!
