A field of death! Hillbilly ponderin, iced t drinkin and a mite of [preachin]

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Families : One Thread

Lookin east of our house, to the field, one can see a field of death. No-till corn is planted in my field but first it was sprayed with herbacide. EVERYTHING is dead! It's a sad thing to see eventho weeds are supposedly the enemy! I think I'd rather have the weeds than to see all the dead vegatation!

This is the last year for the renter to farm my property. He's a good fella, does a good job of farmin but that horrible poison used to kill everything is more than I can bear. I think it's time for this old hillbilly to either put my farm in set aside or just put it in clover and bale hay off it. Horse owners around here will pay top dollar and do all the work! That way I wouldn't have to worry about unk sam tellin me everything I can and cannot do if it's in set aside!

Cleaned up again here today. Had a big fire most all day and can still smell the wood smoke filterin into our house. A BIG kettle of soop is cookin, Lil Dumplin is on her way home, I have PLENTY of T, Stevia and good, fresh well water! I'm STILL healed, saved and delivered! Glory to God!! What else could a person want?

Melissa! Thanks so much for leavin this site open. It's much easier for this old dude to read and post on. God Bless you for allowing it to remain for awhile!!

Ya'll have a nice evenin--do some powerful restin, iced t drinkin and mite as well have a bowl of soop. Old hoot. Matt.24:44
