intrafamiliar violence

There are many groups in our country that are working in order to fight "intrafamiliar violence", which is quite frequent, especially among the ´poorest families, although not exclusively. In many instances the husband comes home on Saturdays with his insignificant pay for the week, or with no pay at all because he didn't find work that week. When he gets his salary the first thing he does: go to the nearest bar to forget his misery. He spends most of his money there and brings home whatever is left, which is not much. The consequence: the wife must do halftime work in order to half feed the children. When the husband comes home and finds no food on the table he starts beating up his wife and children.

The Psychology books say that a child who is abused physically or sexually later in life become abusers too. How to end this awful chain of events?

Of course we must pray for these families, but what else can we do?

Enrigue - I know you must feel pain in this area as we all do with a heart. Sadly our society has lost the value it seems of both youth and old age.
