Global Instability

greenspun.com : LUSENET : A.M.E. Today Discussion : One Thread

Currently conflict and armed aggression seem to be the norm in international relations. In a peculiar evolution of logic, aggressors appear convinced that violence is not just a means to an end but the end itself. Whether the issue is global terrorism, the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, Pakistani-Indian dispute over Kashmir, coup attempts in Venezuela, the results are all the same - death, sorrow and suffering. The allure of martydom confirms the belief that life itself is no longer sacred. Peace seems to be more elusive than a cure for the common cold. To say we need to pray might be stating the obvious, but it does state the truth. QED

Bill thank you for sharing your thoughts regarding world events. The conflict between India and Pakistan is very troubling for it may involve nuclear weapons. I agree with you that we do need to pray, for it will take spiritual intervention to solve these problems. Thank you for reminding us to pray and let's put these conflicts on our prayer chains and ask our pastors to lift these conflicts up during the worship time.
