Measuring success

greenspun.com : LUSENET : A.M.E. Today Discussion : One Thread

June 2nd Bible study from our Denominations Bible study was very thought provoking and lent itself to lively discussion about Prosperity and success. One of the questions asked do you measure your own success through worldly or a heavenly sense. I would love to hear your responses, especially from sunday school teachers who did the lesson. Thanks

Greetings

I believe the measure of our success does not depend on earthly possessions or the great tasks that we have accomplished. Our success is surely measured by the many and difficult stubling block we have overcome in achieving whatever we set out to do

Rev. Pillay it is so good to hear from you my brother!! It has been a while since you posted on the board. I hope all is well with you and your family. I was so happy to hear from members of my congregation the real meaning of success is measured by the relationship we have with God. Gratitude for the gift of his son was the no. 1 response that was cited as a measure of success when we as Christians accept Christ as our lord and savior.
