Forwarding a prayer request

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Catholic : One Thread

Hi,

I got this in my mailbox, and am forwarding it here:

Dear Prayer Warriors,

I learned today that a dear friend is seriously ill and I am asking for your prayers. Claire is in her late eighties. She is a vibrant, vital soul with a great devotion to Our Lord. She attends Mass everyday and is also the Church librarian.

Last week she had some chest pains and was admitted to the hospital. Apparently when it was time to change her bedding, she was taken out of the bed and left to stand by it as the attendant changed the sheets. While standing, Claire lost her balance and fell, breaking her hip, leaving her in extreme pain. This past weekend she was operated on to repair the fractured hip. Following surgery, Claire suffered a stroke. She is now in stable but critical condition, and her right side is paralyzed.

Please pray for this dear and exuberant woman. Also, if you feel so inclined, please send her a card letting her know that you are praying for her. Miracles happen everyday, let's envision one and pray for one of complete healing for Claire.

This is the address to which you can send her a card: Claire Gillespie c/o Lawrence Hospital 55 Palmer Avenue Bronxville, NY 10708

Thank you all so very much. May God bless you for responding to this prayer request. Please also pass this on to fellow prayer warriors so that they too might join us in agreement for this urgent request for healing. prayer warrior Sue

Dear Sue,
My next prayer and spiritual Communion will be for Claire's intentions. I love to be acquainted with such dear people as she seems to be.

Darling Claire is ready to meet her Saviour. We ought to rejoice with her. My own good mother is in this stage of her life. Let's pray their days may be filled with consolation; nights with peace and solace. God is granting them His grace. God GAVE them love; God will GIVE them life. Claire is not on a distant planet. Claire is in His hands all the while. Blessed be the name of the Lord!
