Guinea Pig Theater

"The Guinea Pig theater series debuted with its production of Aeschylus' Prometheus Bound. Spunky plays the starring role in this one-man production of Prometheus, who alone dares to defy the hand of God, and pays the price.

You may remember that in this classic Greek tragedy, Prometheus has angered the gods for his well-publicized theft of fire, and finds himself chained to a rock with an eagle plucking at his liver. In the end, Prometheus is cast into the abyss. Ah, life!"

Spunky played a convincing prometheus. Audiences will remember Spunky from his memorable portrayal of Mozart's father in the spirited tragedy Amadeus II, Tales from the tailless. This production was a touching capstone for Spunky, who, according to the actor's agent and co-director of Prometheus, Fluffy Q. Stinkycat, still had much to say about the role of domesticated rodents, and the pre-pubescent populace which comprise these bohemian creatures' caretakers. This being said, this metaphor, so crucial to the concept of the production was muddied in the powerful, yet confusing melange scene as Spunky sought unsuccesfully to portray both Prometheus and the tormenting eagle, which unfortunately came off as just so much artistic chicken scratch. A strong script, Prometheus would have profited by the addition of one or more additional dramatis rodentia.
