Just wondering?

Stan, I guess you are the person to ask since you moderate this board. Got any rules? Should posts be limited to homesteading info and not stray to general discussion which may encompass politics and religion, and such?

I'll state that I definately prefer a site where RESPECTFUL discussion of these issues is welcome.

Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

OH NO ! ! ! , your asking "ME" to make a decision??????,,,,,,,,,ok,, lets see,,, rules,,,, Hmmmmmmmmmm

ask whatever you want about whatever you want. If things go nuts or are obviously spam,, Ill remove it , I guess. To me, homesteading covers most topics, includeing some that doesnt directly reflect homesteading. But in todays world, with world moarkets and one thing effecting another, I "CANT" see things that dont effect us. The thing that relaly bothered me was when chuckers started adding his pic to his name, then he would complain about people using up wavelengths or some crap, when those html codes take up a TON of space. kidnapp links I dont like either. But I am WIDE open for discussion of any and all rules.

Ha! Sounds good to me. Seriously, I'm the type of person who relishes new ideas, it's a learning process. I'd hate to feel that I'm stuck into a state of being where others' points of view can't be taken into account or experianced because of a heavy edit button. :)

Help me out-what's a kidnap link? Sounds dangerous. I told you guys I'm not too computer savvy.:)

A kidnap link is also known as a redirect. Have you ever gone to a website and gotten a message that says something like "We've moved, but in 5 seconds you'll be sent to our new site", and then without you doing anything your computer goes to another page? That's a redirect.

They got the nickname kidnap links because when the Countryside forum was moving to chuck's location, if you clicked on the listing for Countryside here on Lusenet it would transport you over to Chuck's forum. Those who didn't want to make the move felt like they were kidnapped. Personally, I didn't appreciate it because when I'm on my old and slow laptop, chuck's forum makes my computer crash.
