Minolta 303si and Vitacon MAF lens

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Photography Singapore : One Thread

Hi,

2 weeks ago, I was shopping for SLR camera at Lucky Plaza. I paid SD1060 for:

1) Minolta Dynax 303si with Date. 2) Vitacon MAF Lens 70-210mm F4.5~5.6. 3) Vivitar 729AF flash.

I believe I've over paid for at least SD300. Can someone tell me the street price for the items listed above? I haven't gone back to the shop to ask for cash refund.

Thank you.

- CKW.

Hi, Nice to know that you have bought a 303SI camera. However at the price you have paid you would have got a NIKON F65, with the same and still saved S$200/-. The street price at Louis Photo or Mustafa is around S$400/- for the camera & S$220. HOwver 303SI is not a new model, If you have a refund policy then you can go in for 505SI, as 303SI is about 2 years old. I have a 404SI and I bought it for (35 - 80 lens)and bought it for under 400/- about a year back. Recommend that you check for proces in atleast 3 - 4 places, like Cathy Photo, Mustafa, Louis Photo before u make a purchase

you have indeed overpaid. the flash unit costs no more than $80. Not sure about the cost of your extra lens but the other contributor certainly is right about the 303si. i think it should costs about S$300.
