Outside Stuff

greenspun.com : LUSENET : All Things Final Fantasy II : One Thread

Well, I'm about to challenge the ultimate bosses on 9, and I just thought I'd share some of the stuff I learned about 9 while playing it this time.

(1) When you assume command of Steiner, if you go back to Brahne, she will give you a silk shirt.

(2) Getting Excalibur II is impossible. (jk)

(3) You can cast LV5 Death on Grand Dragons for one hit kills.

(4) You can steal a Holy Lance from the Ark.

(5) Running into 3 Tonberries in Ipsen's Castle really sucks.

Darn, I thought of some really good ones last night...I guess I'll reply to my own post later...

brahne gives you different things, a random item. i got a moonstone :D

as for excalibur 2 - has anyone actually ever got this weapon. it seems a bit unlikely that square couldn't think of a better name for a weapon than "excalibur 2", bored teens spreading rumours on the other hand, their imagination tends to be a bit more limited.

I got it via Xplorer or xploder(whatever it's called) and had it equipped on Freya(you can put any weapon on anyone with the cheats)for a laugh.

well for 1 what brahne gives you depends on how well you did in the duel with the belt face man...if you do it perfectly 100 people will be impressed, quit then and they shower you with loadsa money and brahne gives you the best item...also excalibre 2 is impos to get and i cant be arsed to try...
